New Jersey S4259 establishes a four-year Performing Arts Education Improvement Grant Program. The Commissioner of Education will award grants to selected school districts to enhance performing arts education. Eligible districts must demonstrate high concentrations of multilingual learners, students in resource family care, students from rural areas, or at-risk students. Grant funds can be used for materials, equipment, teacher training, and student programs. The commissioner will select 10 districts and may award multi-year grants.
