New Jersey S4252 allows municipalities to meet affordable housing obligations by developing property owned by certain public entities.
New Jersey S4252 authorizes a municipal governing body to enter into an agreement with a school district, a public institution of higher education, a public transportation authority, or a public housing authority or redevelopment agency located within the municipality, to develop affordable housing on property that is owned by the public entity to meet its municipal obligation for affordable housing. This act supplements P.L.1985, c.222 (C.52:27D-301 et al.).
