S.4219

Revises continuing education requirements for real estate licensees and regulation of certain real estate continuing education providers, instructors, and courses.

Introduced·5/14/26

New Jersey S4219 revises continuing education requirements for real estate licensees and regulates providers, instructors, and courses.

New Jersey S4219 revises the continuing education requirements for real estate licensees, increasing the total hours required for brokers, broker-salespersons, and salespersons from 16 to 18 hours. It also introduces an additional 2 hours of continuing education in timely topics if deemed necessary by the commission. The bill allows certain course providers to approve their own instructors and courses if they have evidence of at least 20,000 successful completions by real estate licensees. It mandates that course providers post a $15,000 bond and maintain records of successful completions.
