New Jersey S4111 imposes temporary surcharges on certain transactions to support preparations for hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The bill imposes a 3% surcharge on sales of tangible personal property, prepared food, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages, and on admission charges to places of amusement within the Meadowlands district from June 12, 2026, to July 21, 2026. It also imposes a $0.50 surcharge on transportation network company rides to and from the Meadowlands district.
