New Jersey S4087 requires the Department of Human Services to establish a system to ensure that funding for certain support services for General Assistance beneficiaries stops when the beneficiary exits the service. This includes services for substance use disorder treatment or housing. The commissioner is authorized to contact providers or beneficiaries to determine the cessation date of services and funding. Providers must repay any funding received for beneficiaries who are discharged or no longer receiving services. This act takes effect immediately.
