New Jersey S4080 requires the New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJT) to install safety features at bus stops in high-traffic areas. These safety features include barriers and lighting to protect riders from traffic-related injuries and fatalities. The bill also mandates that NJT install safety features at pre-existing shelters at bus stops in high-traffic areas upon request from the municipality or entity maintaining the shelter.
