Regulates use of AI-based systems for electronic monitoring in employment and public services in New Jersey.

New Jersey S4075 regulates the use of artificial intelligence-based systems for electronic monitoring in employment and public services. It mandates that employers and public entities cannot use AI systems like electronic monitoring tools (EMT), automated employment decision systems (AEDS), or automated benefit or service decision systems (ABSDS) without prior impact assessments and approvals. These systems must not be used to violate labor laws, harm worker health and safety, set harmful productivity quotas, or discriminate against employees or service beneficiaries.
