New Jersey S404 requires health insurance carriers to cover expenses for hospitalizations due to COVID-19 without imposing deductibles, coinsurance, copayments, or other cost-sharing requirements. This applies to insurance companies, health service corporations, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health maintenance organizations, and state and school employee health benefit programs. The act takes effect immediately and applies to health benefits plans issued or purchased on or after the effective date.
