Increases penalties for certain prohibited sales of tobacco and vapor products.

New Jersey S4033 increases penalties for retailers selling tobacco and vapor products to individuals under 21 years of age. The fines for violations are raised: $750 for the first violation, $1,500 for the second violation, and $3,000 for the third and each subsequent violation. Five percent of the penalties collected will be transferred to the Department of Health to fund educational programs and outreach initiatives about the dangers of vapor products and the consequences of illegal sales.
