New Jersey Living Donor Support Program established to reimburse eligible expenses for living donors.

This bill establishes the New Jersey Living Donor Support Program in the Department of Health to provide financial assistance for eligible expenses incurred by living donors during the donation process. Eligible expenses include lost wages, travel and lodging costs, child care, and medication costs. The commissioner may limit reimbursement for donors earning over $125,000 annually or for expenses over $14,000. The program will be the payer of last resort if other third-party payers cover the donor's expenses. The department may contract with a third-party entity for program administration.
