The bill expands criminal and civil penalties for human trafficking and eliminates the statute of limitations for human trafficking crimes. It establishes human trafficking response teams and expands training and education requirements related to human trafficking. The bill appropriates $1 million to the New Jersey Commission on Human Trafficking. It also modifies the definition of "abused child" to include children subjected to human trafficking.
