Establishes the Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a principal department in the Executive Branch.

The bill establishes the Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DDEI) as a principal department within the Executive Branch. The DDEI is tasked with overseeing and enforcing strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion plans for entities receiving development subsidies or financial assistance from the State. The Commissioner of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, appointed by the Governor, serves as the administrator and chief executive officer of the DDEI.
