New Jersey S387 mandates that managed care plans must allow any licensed clinical laboratory to join their provider network.

New Jersey S387 requires managed care plans to permit any clinical laboratory, licensed under R.S.45:9-42.26 et seq. and accepting the contract terms, to participate in their provider network. This applies if the health benefits plan covers laboratory services. The Commissioner of Banking and Insurance will implement this through necessary rules and regulations. The act will take effect two months after its enactment.
