Exempts certain trained officers from additional Police Training Commission animal cruelty training courses.

New Jersey S3849 exempts certain officers who have completed specific animal cruelty training courses from additional Police Training Commission training requirements. The bill allows for exemptions for officers who have successfully completed phase 1 and phase 2 of the Basic Humane Law Enforcement Course or a similar course. It also authorizes chief law enforcement officers to request exemptions for current or prospective municipal humane law enforcement officers, humane law enforcement officers of county societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals, or chief humane law enforcement.
