NJ FamilyCare to reimburse multiple medical encounters per day at federally qualified health centers.

The bill allows NJ FamilyCare to reimburse for multiple medical encounters per day at federally qualified health centers (FQHC) for an enrollee, provided the referring provider documents the reason for each referral and each encounter is with a different specialty provider. NJ FamilyCare reimbursement for multiple encounters does not violate federal statute. The bill defines "federally qualified health center" and "specialty provider.
