New Jersey S3721 requires the Department of Environmental Protection, counties, and municipalities to install Type IV personal flotation devices at lakes, ponds, and rivers in public parks and State forests where swimming, boating, or ice-skating is permitted. These devices, approved by the United States Coast Guard, must be permanently installed near the water and clearly marked with a sign.
