New Jersey S3702 restricts the use of artificial intelligence in election campaign communications.

New Jersey S3702 restricts the use of artificial intelligence in election campaign communications. It prohibits the publication of any artificial intelligence-generated communication within 90 days before an election. It also bans the use of deceptive audio or visual media created or altered using artificial intelligence that features an opposing candidate in a false, fraudulent, or defamatory manner.
