NJHousing pilot program provides rental assistance through monthly cash transfers to selected households.

The bill establishes the NJHousing pilot program to provide monthly cash transfers to selected households in New Jersey. The Department of Community Affairs (DCA) will publish an application portal and conduct a public outreach initiative to solicit applications. The DCA will establish eligibility requirements and evaluate applications. Qualified applicants will be randomly selected by county through a lottery to participate in the pilot program. The pilot program will provide an NJHousing cash transfer to each selected household each month for 24 months.
