Expands eligibility for "Body Armor Replacement Fund" grants to additional state agencies.

This bill expands the eligibility criteria for recipients of grants provided by the “Body Armor Replacement” fund. It allows the Attorney General to administer grants to any state agency or department that appoints law enforcement officers, such as the Department of Environmental Protection. The grant program is designed to effectuate a five-year vest replacement cycle for local law enforcement officers, State Police, Division of Criminal Justice, and other law enforcement officers.
