Prohibits service fees for NJ E-ZPass account holders.

New Jersey S3640 prohibits the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the South Jersey Transportation Authority, or any entity contracted by the lead agency of the New Jersey E-ZPass Group from charging a service fee to an E-ZPass account holder. The bill defines a service fee as an additional amount added to the monthly billing statement for the primary purpose of having enrolled in the State’s electronic toll collection system and not for actual usage. The prohibition takes effect immediately.
