Permits DOC and DCF to award contracts for medical and dental services to vendors.

This bill revises the State’s procurement process for certain medical and dental contracts to increase efficiency and quality. It allows the Department of Corrections (DOC) and Department of Children and Families (DCF) to award contracts for medical and dental services to the vendors whose proposals are most advantageous to the State, considering price and other factors. This change aims to reduce the State’s health care costs.
