Expands eligibility for veterans' civil service preference in New Jersey and creates additional preference benefits.

The bill expands eligibility for veterans' hiring preference in New Jersey's civil service. It allows individuals who are eligible for veterans' preference in the federal civil service but not in the state civil service to receive additional points above their earned score on state civil service examinations. Specifically, it grants five additional points to those who meet federal veteran definitions but not state definitions, and 10 additional points to disabled veterans who meet federal definitions but not state definitions.
