New Jersey Servicemembers’ Civil Relief Act protects military servicemembers and their dependents.

The New Jersey Servicemembers’ Civil Relief Act provides protections for military servicemembers and their dependents. It includes mandatory stays of civil proceedings and executions of judgments when the servicemember’s ability to represent themselves is materially affected by their military service. It allows for anticipatory relief by the servicemember’s dependent as a condition of foreclosing the mortgage, resuming possession of the property, or rescinding or terminating the contract.
