New Jersey S3508 establishes penalties for parents and guardians for willful or wanton disregard in supervising minors.

New Jersey S3508 establishes penalties for parents and legal guardians who demonstrate willful or wanton disregard in supervising minors. A parent or guardian may be fined $1,000 if the minor was adjudicated delinquent for engaging in improper behavior resulting in property damage. A parent or guardian may be guilty of a petty disorderly persons offense for a first offense of inciting a public brawl, and a disorderly persons offense for a second or subsequent offense.
