New Jersey S3501 revises the membership of the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling. The bill expands the board from 13 to 15 members, adding two representatives from public school vocational programs, two from licensed private schools of cosmetology and hairstyling, and two who own or operate a hair braiding shop in the state. It also modifies the professional qualifications for some board members, requiring six members to hold practicing licenses in relevant professions for at least five years. The bill takes effect immediately upon enactment.
