Introduced·2/12/26
Introduced Text

New Jersey S3465 removes the five-year residency requirement for employees of the NJ Racing Commission.

New Jersey S3465 eliminates the five-year residency requirement for employees of the NJ Racing Commission. Previously, employees had to reside in New Jersey for at least five years before being eligible for employment. This bill removes that residency condition, potentially expanding the pool of qualified candidates. The commission will still appoint an executive director and other necessary staff, who will serve at the commission's pleasure and receive compensation as determined by the commission.
