Introduced Text

New Jersey S345 authorizes the issuance of Boy Scouts of America license plates for councils in the state.

New Jersey S345 authorizes the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to issue special Boy Scouts of America license plates for each Boy Scouts of America council in the state. The bill requires a Boy Scouts of America council or an individual or entity designated by the council to contribute non-public monies, up to $25,000, to offset the initial costs for designing, producing, issuing, and publicizing the plates. The commission cannot begin the program until the council provides at least 500 completed applications and the necessary funds.
