Introduced Text

Establishes the Expediency and Accessibility in State Environmental Permitting Act to enhance transparency and efficiency in environmental permitting.

The Expediency and Accessibility in State Environmental Permitting Act mandates the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to create an online permit transparency portal, known as the EASE Permitting Portal. This portal will allow permit applicants and the public to monitor the status of permit applications. The bill also requires the DEP to transition its legacy permit management platforms to a unified workflow management system. The transition will include a permit applicant interface for application submission, tracking, management, and communication.
