New Jersey S3376 mandates biennial inspections of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

New Jersey S3376 requires the Department of Health to establish uniform care and operating procedures and standards for nursing homes and assisted living facilities within 180 days of the act's effective date. The Department of Health must then conduct biennial, on-site inspections of these facilities to ensure compliance with the established procedures and standards. Additionally, the department is to post each inspection report on its Internet website. The act also allows for other periodic reviews as deemed necessary by the Commissioner of Health.
