This bill phases out State tuition aid grants for students enrolled in proprietary institutions of higher education. Beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year, students who received an award prior to that academic year will continue to receive a grant until they are no longer eligible. The bill redirects funding for students enrolled in proprietary institutions to a summer tuition aid grant program. Summer tuition aid grants will be prorated based on the number of credits the student is enrolled in during the summer semester.
