Requires notification to members of health club if club is to be sold and health club services contract assigned to new owner.

Complete·6/30/26

New Jersey S3306 mandates health clubs to notify members if the club is to be sold and requires member consent for contract assignment to the new.

New Jersey S3306 amends existing law to ensure health clubs must inform members if the club is to be sold and obtain written consent from members before assigning their contracts to the new owner. The consent can be provided electronically and must be sent separately from the contract, ahead of any ownership transfer. Members must also be notified of the transfer date. The bill applies to health club services contracts entered into on or after the effective date of the act.
