Establishes citizen budget oversight committees in Type I school districts and charter schools to monitor financial positions.

The bill mandates that Type I school districts and charter schools establish citizen budget oversight committees. These committees will serve as advisors to the respective boards, monitoring the financial status of the districts or charter schools. The committees will review revenues and expenditures monthly, provide analyses and recommendations on special initiatives or budgets, and make information requests to the boards. Members, including parents, educators, and taxpayers, will undergo a training program developed by the Department of Education.
