Establishes the New Jersey Veterans Assistance Trust to provide assistance to veterans and their families.

The bill establishes the New Jersey Veterans Assistance Trust, an instrumentality within the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, to provide monetary and other assistance to veterans, their families, and programs supporting them. The Trust is governed by a board of 14 trustees, including state officials and public representatives. The Trust can accept gifts, grants, and endowments, make grants or loans, develop projects, and execute contracts. It can invest in approved securities and equities, maintaining an overall investment portfolio rating of at least AA.
