Final Passage·6/30/26

Modifies renewable energy incentive programs and requires electric utilities to interconnect certain solar projects.

The bill modifies various provisions of New Jersey's renewable energy incentive programs, including the community solar program, remote net metering program, and administratively determined incentive program. It allows for the co-location of solar facilities on the same property or contiguous properties, provided they are developed as separate projects or phases. The bill also extends eligibility for these programs to projects on brownfields, contaminated sites, and mining sites, with no size or power output restrictions.
