New Jersey Reparations Task Force established to study and develop reparations proposals for Black people.

The New Jersey Reparations Task Force is established to study and develop reparations proposals for Black people in New Jersey. The task force will examine the institution of slavery, its lingering effects, and systemic racial discrimination. It will recommend ways to educate the public, propose remedies, and address how these recommendations align with national and international standards. The task force will hold public meetings, invite public comment, and submit reports to the Governor and Legislature. The task force will expire upon issuance of its final report.
