Extends filing period and modifies medical documentation for accidental disability retirement allowance for 9/11 responders.

This bill extends the time period for members or retirees of the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System, the State Police Retirement System, and the Public Employees’ Retirement System to file for accidental disability retirement allowance due to participation in 9/11 World Trade Center rescue, recovery, or cleanup operations. It allows for two-year filing extensions and permits the board of trustees to approve additional extensions.
