New Jersey S3120 repeals no-fault automobile insurance and mandates liability insurance for motor vehicles.

New Jersey S3120 repeals the state's no-fault automobile insurance law and replaces it with a mandatory liability insurance law for motor vehicles. The new law requires motor vehicle owners to maintain liability insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 for injury or death of one person and $200,000 for injury or death of more than one person in any one accident. It also mandates uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage in the same amounts or limits as the insured's motor vehicle liability insurance coverage.
