Introduced Text

New Jersey S308 creates special license plates for disabled veterans to park in spots reserved for persons with disabilities.

New Jersey S308 mandates the creation of special license plates for disabled veterans, allowing them to park in spaces reserved for persons with disabilities. These plates, which display the words "Disabled Veteran" and a wheelchair symbol, are not transferable and are exclusively for the person to whom they are issued. Misuse or abuse of the benefits granted by these plates will result in revocation of the benefits and forfeiture of the plates. The Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will issue these plates upon proper application and a $15 fee.
