New Jersey S3071 changes the classification of State Investigators in civil service to classified titles.

New Jersey S3071 changes the classification of State Investigators in civil service. State Investigators employed with the Division of Criminal Justice in the Department of Law and Public Safety are currently in the unclassified service of the civil service. This bill will allow all current and future State Investigators to receive the full protections of the civil service system, including job security and benefits, by converting their titles from unclassified to classified service.
