New Jersey S3006 mandates that the State Medicaid program and the Plan First program cover standard fertility preservation services when a medically necessary treatment may cause iatrogenic infertility. This bill defines "iatrogenic infertility" as an impairment of fertility caused by surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, or other medical treatment affecting reproductive organs or processes. The coverage is limited to one fertility preservation cycle unless the procedure is unsuccessful.
