Introduced Text

Automatically enrolls individuals in New Jersey Immunization Information System upon vaccine administration unless they opt out.

This bill mandates automatic enrollment in the New Jersey Immunization Information System (NJIIS) for individuals receiving vaccines, unless they or their guardians opt out. The NJIIS is a statewide database for vaccination records. Individuals born after January 1, 1998, are automatically included unless a written request is made. The system aims to ensure timely immunizations, improve rates, and control communicable diseases. Authorized users can access records only for specific patients under their care.
