New Jersey S2919 allows voter registration at polling places on election day or at early voting sites during the early voting period.

New Jersey S2919 amends voter registration laws to allow individuals to register to vote at polling places on election day or at early voting sites during the early voting period. This bill also allows voters to cast a provisional ballot if they have registered to vote within the 21 days before the election but can affirm they have not previously voted in that election. The provisional ballot will be counted if it is otherwise valid. The bill details procedures for processing provisional ballots, including the use of affirmation statements and the verification of voter information.
