Introduced Text

New Jersey S2823 allows historic motor vehicles to be used for pleasure driving one day per week.

New Jersey S2823 amends existing law to permit historic motor vehicles to be used for pleasure driving not more than one day per week. Currently, these vehicles can only be used for exhibition and educational purposes. The bill defines "historic motor vehicle" as a vehicle at least 25 years old, owned as a collector's item, and unaltered from its original design. The new provision for occasional travel must not exceed one day per week and is for purposes other than exhibition and education. The act will take effect six months after its enactment.
