Authorizes reimbursement for EMT training from EMT Training Fund for volunteer firefighters.
This bill amends existing law to clarify that agencies, entities, and organizations that train and certify volunteer emergency medical technicians will be reimbursed for the cost of providing that training and certification to volunteer members of first aid and rescue squads, as well as to volunteer firefighters. The priority for reimbursement from the fund to an agency, organization, or entity for training and testing of certified volunteer members of volunteer ambulance, first aid and rescue squads, and volunteer fire companies shall be in the following order: EMT-A certification, EMT-A.
