This bill exempts from motor vehicle registration fees one passenger motor vehicle owned by any New Jersey resident who is a 100 percent disabled veteran. The exemption applies to those honorably discharged or released from active service in the U.S. Armed Forces and adjudicated as permanently 100 percent disabled by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The Adjutant General of the Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs, in consultation with the Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, must notify all eligible motorists of this fee exemption.
