The bill establishes the Landfills, Brownfields, and Contaminated Sites Redevelopment Incentive Program, administered by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA). It provides economic incentives for developers undertaking redevelopment projects on legacy landfills, brownfield sites, or contaminated sites within redevelopment zones. Developers entering into a redevelopment agreement with the EDA are entitled to a 50% exemption from sales and use taxes for the duration of their remediation and redevelopment projects.
