The RMP allows eligible homeless, disabled, or elderly individuals to use their SNAP benefits at approved restaurants offering food at low or reduced prices. The program is administered by the Department of Human Services, in collaboration with county welfare agencies. Eligible counties are those where vulnerable SNAP participants are underserved. Institutions of higher education in eligible counties must apply to have their on-campus restaurants approved as food vendors.
