New Jersey S2694 requires the Department of Human Services to establish a Haitian Migrant Assistance Program. This program will provide social services and financial assistance to undocumented Haitian migrants who have been in the state for at least two years. Services include housing assistance, time-limited cash assistance, English and literacy instruction, employment readiness, referrals to legal assistance, and civic instruction. The Department of Human Services may contract with community-based, faith-based, and non-profit organizations to deliver these services.
