This bill allows voters to participate in any political party's primary election by changing their party affiliation at the polling place on primary election day. It also permits voters who cast mail-in ballots in the primary election to complete any political party's primary ballot. The bill removes the 55-day deadline for political party membership changes and allows any registered voter to participate in the political party primary of their choice. The update of political party affiliation is retained for record-keeping purposes.
