New Jersey S2667 requires the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to establish a Statewide wireless network through a public-private partnership agreement. The private entity involved will assume full financial and administrative responsibility for the construction, reconstruction, repair, improvement, extension, operation, and maintenance of the network, provided the project is financed by the private entity. The private entity must post a performance bond and a payment bond. The OIT must hold public hearings and consider various factors before approving a proposal.
